Comfort: First Class
Description:
The Samba is a comfortable, well-maintained Holland-built, 78-foot solid, steel-hulled motor yacht (with stabilizing sail) which is operated by Fiddi Angermeyer. Fiddi is from one of the original colonist families to settle in Galapagos; his father was one of four brothers that sailed out of Germany just before the Second World War -all the way to Galapagos (for an interesting story, read the book "My Father’s Island" by Johanna Angermeyer). As a resident of Galapagos, Fiddi and his team personally oversee all of the day-to-day operations of the Samba. We appreciate the fact that Fiddi runs very "tight" ships.

The M/Y Samba includes air conditioned cabins with private bathrooms, along with a nice, indoor salon and one outdoor dining area astern. Samba is a graceful vessel, and does not impose itself on the Galapagos landscape you are out there to experience.
Accommodation:
Seven air-conditioned double cabins, each with private bathroom.  Sleeping arrangements in each of the double cabins are upper and lower bunk beds, the lower bunk easily accommodating a couple.  One cabin has a double bed.
